Legends of Everywhere

There are tales throughout Everywhere of great heroes of the past, present, and future, archetypes which may rise or fall with the ages but never truly die. The following are mentioned by NPCs, random events, and the rare somewhat-intact book which players have pieced together; any additional information on Legends is greatly appreciated!

Ampersands is described as "A great wyrm, ever-coiled upon &self" (Random event at Mountain) and "Twin-headed, twin-tailed, with one great expanse of form between which stretches above us as sky" (Exentrix dialogue when brought a sun or moon-related reagent); based off of the cryptic phrase "Taken each within a maw, joined once more in a new spiral" from a paperscrap, many players theorize that Ampersands *is*, in fact, the sky, and that & ate the sun and moon which now shine through the thin membrane of &'s stomach.

Chaos, Combinatory Queen is a name uttered only once explicitly, in a rare defeat dialogue from high-level Magma elementals, but they're thought to be the same figure as "the meddling royal," "the grinning forge" and "the one above and outside we-us" described sometimes by Rain, Lightning, and Cloud elementals upon defeat. Their role seems to be giving form and purpose to the elemental foes players can encounter in Skirmish, though it's unclear if they're similarly involved with non-elemental enemies. If they do end up being an enemy of the playerbase, Chaos would be the first legend with an explicitly hostile agenda, but as of yet their purposes are unknown.

Extravagance, Lady of Excess appears to have an almost saint-like role in Everywhere, appearing by name in multiple paperscrap fragments praising her "beauty fearful" and "terror lovely" among other reverent descriptors. Small sketches alongside these paperscraps show a circle full of circles, but it's unclear whether this is a representation of the Lady or an abstract symbol associated with her followers. No mentions of Extravagance appear outside of the paperscraps, leaving the temporal origin of her followers (and her presence within Everywhere itself, or lack thereof) shrouded in mystery.

Morelord is a title apparently held by many denizens of Everywhere, potentially even at the same time. The only known Morelord is Morelord Venn, who appears in several random events that can take place during Hunting or other site actions in the Forest; his mention of "The Morelord scores of lore" is ominous, but his Morelord brethren haven't yet appeared in Everywhere.

Supernumerinfintolia ("Super" for short, on the forums) is the most well-known of Everywhere's Legends, and the only one so far to function as a regular NPC players can interact with. She acts as a tutorial-giving figure for new players, and candidly discusses site features like the "lost password" feature in the same breath as she shares upcoming site updates and in-universe lore. She demonstrates some kind of fluctuating omnipresence which makes her hard to pin down; sometimes she'll be "gone" from her usual spot at the Library and found wandering around other pages of the site, stating that she's exploring, whereas sometimes she'll seem to be in two places at once on the same screen but refuse to acknowledge the other her. Super sometimes gives different answers to the same questions, usually slight rewordings or paraphrases of the same answer but sometimes entirely off-topic responses. It's like she's talking to somebody else.
